The world
vegetable center-AVRDC held the first workshop entitled
“Creating Impact though Partnership: Establishment of
Partnership for Technology Development and Adaptation in
Vegetable production in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia” in Manama,
Bahrain from 24-25 February, 2010 with the following objectives:
1) Open a dialog
and develop working relationship with the Technical Mission
teams in both countries and AVRDC regional office.
2) Introduce
AVRDC activities and technologies that are useful and
appropriate for the region.
3) Review the
current status and constrains of vegetables production,
consumption and marketing in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
4) Identify
opportunities of collaboration.
5) Develop a
project proposal and work plan for the coming season.
The workshop was hosted by the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture. |
